MVHI Presents - Go Red for Women Breakfast Seminar

The Mohawk Valley Heart Institute (MVHI) hosted a breakfast seminar in cooperation with the American Heart Association.  The Go Red for Women Medical Seminar, "Gender in Cardiac Surgery - Is What's Good for the Gander Good for the Goose?" was held Thursday, May 8 at the Mohawk Valley Community College Theatre. 

The lecture featured guest speaker Nancy A. Nussmeier, M.D.; Chair, Anesthesiology Department, SUNY Upstate.  Nussmeier is from the Texas Heart Institute and is a nationally recognized expert on gender-related outcomes post-cardiac surgery.

MVHI is a cooperative program of St. Elizabeth Medical Center and Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare.  Other program sponsors were Macy's, Merck, and the American Heart Association.
