My care was exceptional at MVHI at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare! All staff, from ER to 2nd floor to 4th floor, was kind and very helpful, considerate, with smiles on their faces, and several went out of their way. Food was excellent, an unexpected surprise (both variety and taste, never experienced in a hospital). ER nurse was very friendly and easy to talk to (I had a long stay which was expected). The person who wheeled me out even jumped my car battery when my husband had left the lights on. Above and beyond the call! The staff at MVHI was very professional, caring and informative. Every phase of the procedure was fully explained to us; we felt confident with our doctor and staff. My nurse was extremely helpful and caring. This area is very fortunate to have such a service.

I had originally planned on going out of town for the surgery, but after some research, I decided on Utica. I am very happy with MVHI at St. Elizabeth Medical Center and MVHI at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare Cardiac Rehab.

On September 4, 2007, I was transferred from Lewis County Hospital to MVHI for cardiac care. A heart catheterization was performed that afternoon and it was determined that bypass surgery was going to be required. I was discharged on Monday, September 10th. I want to thank you and all your staff for the exceptional care and consideration for myself and my family during this very stressful period. The staff in both units (2C and Cardiothoracic ICU) was outstanding. They were well educated, performed their jobs in a very professional manner, and were always upbeat and friendly. I found all of your staff, from admissions to technicians to janitors, to be friendly, courteous and helpful in any way that they could. The availability of the hostel facility for my wife (who was commuting from Brantingham) and daughter (who flew in from Florida) reduced a lot of worry and stress looking for a place to stay. I was told by my wife and daughter that the food served in your cafeteria was outstanding. You have an outstanding facility and staff. Living where we do, in Brantingham, we are fortunate to have a facility of such high quality within an hour's drive. Please keep up the good work.
