Research

One of the primary goals of Mohawk Valley Heart Institute is to improve the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cardiac disease. We do this by keeping abreast of new technologies and treatments and by partnering with cardiac research facilities. Our physicians and staff work together to incorporate innovative technology into our diagnostic and treatment programs.

One of our research partners is the Masonic Medical Research Laboratory (MMRL), an internationally recognized leader in cardiac research, located just a few miles from our facilities right here in Utica. Our efforts provide the Masonic Lab with the resources to do innovative research, the results of which help further the development of promising new treatments and technology. It is a collaboration from which all of our patients benefit.
